New Year Yoga & Meditation Retreat In The Stunning Dorset Countryside

This safe haven is the perfect environment for enabling new beginnings and meeting like-minded people, while you immerse yourself in yoga and guided-meditation and eat delicious organic home cooked food. Let’s welcome in the new year with energy, refreshment and an open mind — what greater start than a relaxing retreat in the beauty of nature!

Gaunts House has the fortune of being situated on a heavenly estate of protected Dorset countryside totalling nearly 2000 acres. The estate has a four-acre lake as well as many acres of private woods which, in the spring, are full of life and carpeted with bluebells. The grounds are cared for in an environmentally friendly way, and are open for all to indulge in the tranquillity and enjoy country walks.

There will be morning yoga classes with more gentle evening sessions, followed by guided mindfulness meditation, Pranayama (Ancient Yogic breathing techniques) and deep relaxation (Yoga Nidra).

On New Year’s Eve, we’ll be doing a ‘manifesting your dreams NLP workshop’ in the evening, to set you inspirational goals for the year ahead. We’ll see in the new year with a seated candle ceremony and celebrate with some bubbly afterwards, to keep those fireworks crackling within!

If you’re looking for fulfilment this New Year’s and want to let go of old patterns which are no longer serving you, this retreat will ensure that the fireworks don’t fizzle out at midnight. Make your new year a special one!

My retreats attract every level of practitioner. I always have a mixture of people attending. I can cater for beginners to advanced. The style of Yoga varies too as I’ve trained in quite a few disciplines, such as Sivananda ( Hatha style ) and Ashtanga. I really work with the feel of the group and meet the needs and requirements of my class participants in that moment, adapting with modifications or more challenging versions of the postures for those who want the option.


An example of a typical day's schedule: 8-9.30am Yoga class 9.30am breakfast 10.30am Guided country walk ( optional ) or free time to socialise,relax or book a massage/yoga session ( extra cost ) 1.00pm Lunch 4.00pm – 6.00pm – Yoga, meditation, pranayama and yoga nidra session 6.30pm- Dinner

Other facilities or extras available during the event -: Drawing Room – This room has an extensive collection of books, audios and videos from around the world available and free to all. Sanctuary – The Library and other Quiet Rooms are available 24 hours/day. Swimming Pool – Open-air, heated in summer ( not in use in the winter months ) On Gaunts Estate – Extensive Woodland and wildlife 3 miles River Allen Private chalk, gravel & sand quarries River Springs There is also free parking and Wifi.
