ABOUT THE WEEK AND JACQUELINE
Jacqueline has been practicing yoga for 20 years and has been a qualified teacher with the British Wheel of Yoga since 2006.
She has practiced across a variety of traditions, all of which have influenced her teaching style. She believes that yoga is accessible and beneficial for everyone. The use of the breath is central to her teaching. She uses asana (posture) practice to improve strength and flexibility in the body and bring greater awareness of the individual self.
She has a keen interest in mindfulness and encourages clarity and focus of the mind during the practice. She believes that yoga can be used as a tool to enhance daily life.
There will be two sessions each day, with the exception of Wednesday when we will only have a morning practice. There is no yoga on the day of arrival and departure. The times of the sessions will be confirmed on arrival. There will be a longish practice in the morning before breakfast (approx. 2 hours) where we will stretch the body and work through a series of asanas (postures). In the later afternoon/early evening, before dinner, we will do a more meditative practice and a deep relaxation.
Any injuries or conditions that need to be taken into account should be made known. All practices can be modified to suit individuals. Please remember that our bodies are all unique and there is a responsibility for you to listen to your body and respond accordingly. Whilst it’s good to work muscles that don’t always get used, you should never work into any pain.
From £695 sharing, limited single rooms are available for a supplement.
Accommodation, all food (with the exception of Wednesday evening when we will go out in the local town) and daily yoga classes.
Not included in the cost is; insurance, travel, transfers, dinner Wednesday evening and any massages/treatments.
