Set in 74 acres of unspoiled woodland, open fields and bordered by a small river, parts of the Logis de Quatre Puits - the 'Place of the Four Wells' - dates back to the 15th century, but there has been a dwelling on the site for more than 1,200 years. For the next chapter in its history - and in collaboration with the owners of Les Passeroses Retreat Centre - Les Quatre Puits will be opening it doors to yoga groups.
Yoga takes place in an amazing new geodesic dome measuring 11 meters in diameter, which is situated behind the chlorine-free swimming pool. It has a wonderful view over the expansive countryside of the Charente-Maritime. There are endless walks around the property and many lovely spots to relax, meditate or chat with other guests.
The spacious and comfortable bedrooms are situated both in the main house - which has Superior rooms all en-suite and two Semi-singles that share a shower room - and also in the three attached cottages. They feature a further two Superior rooms with private terraces and some Standard rooms.
Looking after you will be the owners, John Boteley and Keith Robinson, who have made a successful business at Les Quatre Puits since 2009 offering holiday lets and B&B. Their relaxed yet professional way of hosting ensures you get the most out of your holiday week.
They are both life-long vegetarians, and having been accredited by the Vegetarian Societies of both the UK and France, are happy and able to cater for any dietary requirements. The menu they prepare will be based on the successful one at Les Passeroses yoga retreat, whose owners are passing on their knowledge to ensure that your all yoga holiday needs are met.
