Dates from 30th July - 9th August or 2nd August to 9th August 2016
Join Jivamukti teacher Emma Henry for a completely unique yoga holiday in Mongolia. Largely inaccessible to the Western world until recently, Mongolia offers a rare glimpse into an ancient culture and Mother Nature at her wildest in an environment that has seen little change for centuries.
Our Mongolia yoga holiday runs for 11 or 7 days. Your 11 day option includes a day on the Trans Mongolian Railway and 3 nights in our yoga camp destination in the Gobi. After this we have 7 days in the Khan Khentii Wilderness.
Our Gobi camp is located in the Ikh Nart nature reserve. You'll stay in a traditional Mongolian yurt - known as gers. In the Gobi you can expect silence, stillness, space, emptiness and big dramatic skies. Time seems to stand still here and practising yoga and meditation in this remote location can be a liberating and powerful experience.
Our Khan Kentii camp is located in the interior parts of Gorkhi Terelj National Park which is a wilderness reaching all the way to the Russian/Siberian border. Our luxury camp is located on the Upper Tuul River which meanders gently through the vast meadows of wildflowers and through the lush forested hills.
Between classes, you will have time to relax with a hot stone massage or reflexology sessions. In the Khan Kentii wilderness there is also a sauna set up close to the river, so you can relieve aching muscles, cleanse and relax and then dunk yourself in the (very) refreshing river to cool down!
Midweek, the whole group will hike or ride out to a remote wilderness location for a night camping in tipis. Your meals will be prepared by our expert vegan chef Emma Fountain and her Mongolian team who will prepare you delicious, nourishing and healthy vegan meals designed to support your yoga practice.
Cost from £1895.
